Twin Tagged August 23, 2007

Posted by Anya in : spontaneous degeneration , trackback

Okay.  Well.  Now that both Mom and AgentBond (thanks a lot, Jamie!  :P) tagged me, I guess I HAVE to do it.

Here are the rules

1.  You have to post the rules before you give the facts.

2.  Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name.  If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

3.  When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts.

4.  At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag.

5.  Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My middle name is Rebecca.  It took me until I was in…um… probably 3rd or 4th grade before I knew how to spell it.  *coughs*

Red is not my favorite color, but I have a lot of friends with red cars.

Ebenezer is the tune of the song which Jesse and I got into a small fight about.  :)

Beating Zach up :P used to be one of my favorite things to do at camp.  Now he’s too big.

Elves rock… or tree my non-existant socks off… *has been brainwarped by Abby*

Calvinist, and I will go down swinging on that.

Casting Crowns is AWESOME.

Anytime is the proper time for a philosophical discussion.  :)

and now for the dreaded tags…

I am not doing these in accordance with each letter, no, I have yet another tag to do…

so.

Anne Shaw

Madeline

Atanvarne

hmm… that’s it… ^_^

Now for the other tag from my twin the Samwise-person:

Ooooh, I loooove the name Rebecca! Lucky you! One of my kids is going to have that name. (”Rosemary Rebecca” or “Rebecca Imogen” or something like that) I have my kids’ names all planned out but I won’t go into it. (I can hear your sigh of relief:))

Hmm…….well, I don’t have time to do that tag right now. Thanks a lot. :P

Haha…… a surprising amount of your answers to the second one were just what I would have said. Or perhaps not so surprising. ;)

I just have to say though……..definitely ducks. Because of a certain Ducky Brother that I happen to know. ;)

3. Madeline - Friday, August 24, 2007

Alrighty, here goes. But since I don’t have a blog anyway, I am not going to do it properly. I shall NOT post the rules, I shall NOT write a blog post, I shall NOT tag anyone, and I shall Not leave anyone comments telling them they’re tagged. So there. :P

Anyways, let’s see……*thinks*

God is definitely the number one fact in my life.

Rock music used to be one of my lest favorite kinds of music, but Judah kinda *cough* developed my taste for it. Well, some of it at least. ;)

Anya is one of my favorite friends. (do I get bonus points now?)

Chocolate chip oatmeal cookies is my specialty in baking. I send a lot of them out to poor starving college students whom I happen to know. (Yeah, like I would send them to strangers. :P )

Everyone knows I LOVE dancing, so while it may be a random fact, it’s not a surprise, haha.

There. I’m done. Happy? :P

4. opckid - Friday, August 24, 2007

Haha… yes, dear, you may have bonus points. Now I’m not sure what they’re good for… ^_^

Yay! Hopefully in a year I’ll be a poor starving college student.

Well… maybe we could skip the starving parts…

Actually, Madeline, of all the people whom I can picture sending cookies to random people… :P

You don’t lik eggplant? You wouldn’t get very far over here in Turkey like that - eggplant is a very common dish here and we eat it all the time. I’ve learned to like it by now.

So, you DO want to know about my favorite names…I must admit that I have a little bit of an obsession with names. I love finding out about the meanings behind them and I really like finding out about the meanings of names in the Bible- it’s amazing how most everyone in there lives up to their name. I will give you a list of my favorite names and their meanings (but remember, this was your idea:)):

Imogen = “compassion, mercy”
Estelle = “star” (Estel also means “hope” in Elvish, as
I’m sure you know, being such a language
expert:)
Rebecca = “peacemaker, a troth”
Galadriel = “Lady Of Light”
Elijah = “God is my God” (it reminds me of Rich
Mullins’ song, “Step By Step”)
Brendan = “dweller by the beacon”
Irving = “friend of the sea”
Rosemary = “unspoiled” (Rosemary is also my name
over at Inklings:
www.homeschoolblogger.com\inklings)
Aurora = “dawn, the beginning of joy”
Brian = “strong”
Alassiel = “joy”

And so, there you are- my favorite names. There are others but I can’t remember all of them at the moment:) If I don’t have that many kids, I’ll have to use some of those as middle names, but that’s OK. After all, it wouldn’t be SO bad to have a girl named Rebecca Rosemary Aurora Estelle:) And yes, I sorta like the name “Beowulf” too but I don’t think I’d be so heartless as to actually name a kid that. Of course, “Wiglaf” is an..uh…interesting name as well…

Yikes- those smiley faces are cutting off some of the letters in that above comment….

7. Madeline - Saturday, August 25, 2007

Haha, yeah, I would be the one to send cookies to a random stranger. :P

#48 “irrelevant” hmmmm…..

but I gotta say, any “tag” with 48 questions is more than a “tag.” It’s more like a “tackle to the death” or maybe an “appointment for life.”

9. Anne - Sunday, September 2, 2007

“Calvinist and I will go down swinging on that one.”
I love it! :) I’m working on my tag…stay tuned. :)
