Quizzing September 5, 2007

Yep, back to that time of year again, when we all go bananas at quiz practices, supposedly practicing Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians.

Anyway, tonight was… interesting.

Anna:  *doesn’t know answer*

Mr. G: “Think about it!”

Anna:  *thinks about it while walking towards me saying, “Anya?  Answer is???”*

Mom wanted to know how that worked for her.  Pretty well, as a matter of fact.

Andrew discovered that apparently, if he holds his tongue just so, it is very helpful to getting the correct answer.  Although that plan seemed to fall through when he became so engrossed in explaining the tongue technique to Samwise and consequently, they both missed hearing the question and I got it.  *sighs*

Let’s see.  We were discussing (in youth group) plans to go to this live-mystery thing.

Pastor B:  “Someone always seems to get killed before we get there.”

Peter:  “Yay!!!”  *claps*

me:  O_o

Peter and I:  *laugh and continue laughing every time we look at each other for the next five minutes*

after the lesson

me:  “Peter!  And here I thought that you were a reasonably nice guy, too!”

Peter:  “You began thinking evil thoughts about me though!  Because the next time he mentioned something about someone being killed, you looked at me.  I saw you.”

Samwise and I are improving on the twin act.  We were talking for a minute after quiz practice.

us:  *look at each other*  *begin at the same time*  “I dunno, but…”

Then let’s see.  Peter and I were talking with the water fountain in between us.  Samwise needed a drink, so he hopped in between, apologizing for breaking up the conversation.  Then he and I started talking, but Peter wasn’t done talking yet, so…

*confusing when too many people want to talk to me at once*
